Founded by Jay Jermyn and CJ Anderson, Objects for Thought is an Australian lighting studio exploring the intersection of art, industrial design and everyday function.

Built on a shared curiosity for materials, form and the way we experience objects, the studio approaches lighting with an instinctive, considered perspective. Rather than following convention, Jay and CJ create pieces that balance sculptural expression with practical purpose, bringing a distinct sense of character to residential and commercial spaces.

Their collaborative approach is central to the practice. Drawing on their complementary backgrounds and a shared appreciation for thoughtful design, the pair explore the relationship between materiality, proportion and precision, creating lighting that invites a closer look. Each piece is designed to feel at home within its surroundings while retaining an identity of its own, whether illuminated or not.
