South Drawn is a Melbourne based lighting design studio dedicated to creating distinctive, high end solutions that elevate the spaces they inhabit. Guided by a bold creative vision, a deep respect for craft, and an enduring curiosity for materials and form, the studio designs and manufactures lighting that is both expressive and enduring.

Founded by brothers Luke and Christian Mills, the studio combines creative direction with technical expertise and meaningful industry partnerships. As Design Director, Luke leads the creative and structural evolution of each piece, while Christian, as Partnerships Director, cultivates collaborations with architects, designers, and makers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

At the core of South Drawn is a collaborative studio environment where designers and makers work side by side, continually exploring ideas and refining details to achieve pieces that balance innovation with timelessness. Every design is conceived, engineered, and assembled in-house, driven by a fascination with how materials can be pushed, shaped, and finished. Alongside this, South Drawn partners with select artisans and specialist manufacturers who share their pursuit of experimentation, integrating rare techniques and finely honed elements into their work.
